Biography: 1970s multi - instrumentalist and songwriter.
Denny Ball had been touring Europe and America as a session bassist for many years by the time he joined the legendary Long John Baldry's group in 1972. That year they toured the States twice and appeared on Top of the Pops - with Rod Stewart and Elton John guesting as backing singers. He also played on Baldry's album "Good To Be Alive".
In late 1973 he formed the band "Bedlam" with his brother Dave, Cozy Powell and singer Frank Aiello. They spilt after Powell's solo hit "Dance With The Devil"; a single featuring the sound of just about every corner of his drum kit.
Following "Bedlam", Denny shifted his focus towards songwriting. Included here are examples, from this period, of his distinctive and original style.
