Biography: Ian Dury-style late 70s funk
Capitalising on the success of BBC-TV's "Boys From The Blackstuff", Liverpool-based former brickie Andy Wilson formed the Blackstuff Lads, and released the single, "Gis' A Job", on State Records.
The record, which was played at Liverpool's famous Kop, is about TV
character Yosser Hughes, the black coated, head banging, out of work hero
of Alan Bleasdale's brilliant drama series.
