Brother and sister duo Mac and Katie Kissoon were born in Trinidad then raised in Britain. Though they began as soloists, they are best known for the 1970s hit singles they recorded together. After their easy listening, bubblegum pop music career receded in the mid 1970s, both Kissoons found themselves in demand as backing singers and session musicians. Katie was a member of James Last's singers in the late 1970s, and her brother continues there to this day. Katie has enjoyed continued success as a backing singer for such notables as Van Morrison (including his 2008 album "Keep It Simple"), Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Elton John, Pet Shop Boys and Robbie Williams.
