Mick Whittaker
Mick's love affair with R 'n' B represented an early, fundamental influence. He listed Otis Redding, Bobby Bland, Al Green and Little Feat as his favourites and his singing style, whilst distinctive, reflected these flavours.
A true Geordie, Mick came to the attention of State Records' executives during a talent scout expedition in and around the North East.
He then teamed up with producer Wayne Bickerton and released the single "One Night Stand".
